Here are 5 tips to make you feel your best during this winter cold season.

1. Advanced Hygiene
2. Diet
3. Supplementation
4. Sleep
5. Reducing Stress

Lets just move straight to #3

Right now at our work we are addicted to using the Sovereign Silver. Here's a little information about it: Silver is one of the most widely used mineral substances on the planet. There is a growing interest in its medicinal uses; motivated in part by the emerging strains of multiple drug resistant microbes globally. A silver hydrosol may be your most effective tool for maintaining and sustaining your immune defenses in the presence of emerging strains of bacterial, viral and fungal infections, and for tissue regeneration support. Researchers and physicians are turning their attention to Silver as a primary immune support tool. It's use as a respected preservative, disinfectant and regenerative agent dates back thousands of years. Today, Sovereign Silver has delivered to you the ultimate refinement of an amazing metal: A true Colloidal Silver Hydrosol.
This stuff is incredible, we sell it in a fine mist, or in a dropper top. We definitely recommend checking out this product.

Cod Liver Oil: Studies indicate that high omega-3 fatty acids (found in cod liver oil and other foods) positively modulate immune response and have increased survival rates and reduced disease severity in animal models. Cod Liver Oil is also one of nature’s richest sources of vitamins A and D. Vitamin A is extremely important to include in the post flu regimen-- as viruses reduce vitamin A stored in the body. Vitamin A can also be instrumental in the acute management of viral conditions.

Vitamin C supplement: Effective dosing seems to be in the range of 3-4 grams (that is 3000-4000mg) per day in 3-4 divided dosages. It also seems to be most effective when taken within the first 24 hours of symptom development. Dosages in this range are probably best. As with all mega-dosing, a knowledgeable health practitioner should be consulted. For maintenance during this season, less “explosive” dosages are probably best and can be obtained through whole foods and whole food supplements.

Multi-vita- plus: F.T.H. Nutraceuticals Pharmaceutical Grade Multiple Vitamins-Anti Oxidant supplements and the purest amino acids and natural healthcare can improve vitality and health. SOME BENEFITS OF MULTI VITA PLUS
This is a unique formulation of the highest quality vitamins, minerals PLUS antioxidants in a capsule for fast assimilation. Desiccant pads are included to insure optimum freshness.

Think Water & Vitamins

During this time of year its especially important to drink plenty of water, take vitamins and wear sun protection. Did you know your brain is about 75% water? Drinking water throughout the day will help you stay hydrated and mentally alert. Everyone’s heard how important it is to drink enough water. Especially in the hot summer months. But is it really that necessary? Absolutely. This nutrient is vital to health in numerous ways, and the health benefits of drinking water can not be underestimated. It helps cleanse the body and remove toxins and waste, helps prevent daily fatigue, hydrates the skin, keeps the cells working properly, helps you burn calories, and the list can go on. You want to try and drink at least 8 glasses of water a day, if you drink more then 8 glasses a day you are on your way and should be very proud! Drinking water is just the first step, next you want to be sure you are taking some daily vitamins that help maintain good health and increase longevity. Vitamins and minerals are required for proper metabolism, they keep you healthy, support your immune system, and benefit the skins health as well.
And now to protect your skin always wear sun protection. It is very important to always apply a daily sun block, and a stronger SPF when your going to be outside longer, doing vigorous activities. Be safe, stay protected, stay healthy and have fun!

Take that First step

Customize your Skincare: You’ve gotten the low down and all the information you you need on the basics of taking care of your skin and the importance of being on a good regimen. (Cleanser, toner, exfoliant, moisturizer and sunscreen)Now let’s talk about those special little problems that the basic regimen can’t fix. First of all, let’s start with dry skin.
Dry skin needs nourishing during the day and especially at night just as much as any other type. The myth that the natural oils in your skin is enough to moisturize while you are asleep,as far as dry skin is concerned,is still a myth. There are night creams that are specially formulated for dry skin that will leave your skin baby soft the next morning ,so much that you will think your dry skin has disappeared overnight! However, speak with our beauty consultant and pick out the right product for you. Anti-age Wrinkle creams are not quite the same thing so be careful that you don’t make the mistake of getting something that is primarily for wrinkles and not for the specifics of dry skin. The ingredients are different.
Oily and combination skin are no exception, they also have night creams that do the same thing, even though your skin is oily. They are formulated to control the amount of oil your skin secretes without clogging your pores so that you wake up with again with a baby soft feel, not over oiled skin. Now more than ever it is important to cleanse your face in the AM and PM especially if you use a night cream formulation. For around your eyes sometimes,we'll develop those little fine lines. These are not always caused by age, a lot of times they are caused by stress or from the sun. There are certain products to use to help diminish these appearances. Besides the home remedies like Witch Hazel and cucumbers, there are gels that are easier to handle, easier to store and take less time to apply. Again, please consult our skincare professional for these products and recommendations. Most of the (eye creams) are gels, or creams that feel very nice and are designed to refresh, reduce stress and lift your spirits. Just be sure that whatever extra little help you need that you ask questions and read labels. If you have a skin condition or are being treated by a Doctor with prescription medicine, that you consult that Doctor before talking to anyone else. Certain ingredients may react with certain prescribed drugs especially if they are prescribed by a Dermatologist.
We have many extra products you can add to your basic regimen that will help you accomplish all your beauty and health goals. We have estheticians on staff that would love to set up a more in depth regimen that will help you target exactly what you want. Getting beautiful skin is less then two steps away, just take that first step and make the call! Or visit us on the web at www.BeautynHealth.com and fill out our complimentary skin analysis to get that much closer :)

Are You Eating Enough Beauty Foods and taking enough daily vitamins!

Eating certain foods can dramatically improve the appearance of our skin, hair, nails, and eyes. If you don't get them from your foods, take our daily vitamins and amino acids!

A diet rich in "phyto-compounds" can stimulate DNA repair, increased collagen production, reduce inflammation, and improve blood flow. This not only keeps you healthy but it keeps you looking younger longer.

Creams and lotions can do wonders for your skin, but your diet is by far the most crucial when it comes to having healthy skin.

Beauty is dependent on the overall health of your body. In order for your skin to look attractive and vibrant you need to make healthy lifestyle choices, and a great place to start is with the foods you eat.

So if you want your skin to feel soft and look firm here are a few foods that you can eat starting today.

Blueberries: These blue little balls are one of natures most potent anti-aging foods. They help keep the skins elasticity, strengthen the gums, and contribute to the health of our eyes.

Brazil nuts: Help protect our skin from UV rays and they help reduce dryness.

Strawberries: Help protect our skins collagen structures. Collagen is what keeps our skin firm. Wrinkles form when our collagen levels start depleting.

Salmon: Promotes soft smooth skin, free from dry itchy patches.

Avocados: These contain folate which helps blood formation. This is essential for cell regeneration.

Acai: This is the king of all berries. It has 50% more antioxidants than pomegranates, and twice as much as blueberries. They also contain fatty acids, fiber, calcium, and vitamins.

Apricots: Very rich in fiber and phytochemicals like beta-carotene and lycopene. They also have vitamin C, vitamin A, calcium, folate, iron and potassium, making them very beneficial to our skin.

Broccoli: Also very high in fiber, vitamin C, and folate. There's a compound in broccoli called sulforaphane that protects our bodies cells from injury.

Beans: Jammed packed with phytochemicals, fiber, folic acid, protein, calcium, and magnesium. These guys can stabilize blood sugar as well as lower cholesterol.

Black currant: Has a high source of vitamin C and antioxidants. Also contains a high amount of calcium, potassium, and magnesium.

Carotenoids: This isn't a food, but it's found in fruits and vegetables. It's a fat soluble pigment which helps fight against cancer and cardiovascular disorders.

Carrots: Have lots of beta-carotene which is a powerful antioxidant.

Cruciferous vegetables: A.K.A.- cabbage, broccoli, kale, collard greens, cauliflower, and brussels sprouts. These guys release a compound called glucosinolates and an enzyme called myrosinase when chewed, which are known for their anti-cancer properties.

Cranberries: High in vitamin C, B vitamins, vitamin E, fiber, calcium, iron, magnesium, and citric acid.

Cucumber: A great source of essential vitamins and minerals necessary for increasing collagen production.

Camu-Camu: Very rich in vitamin C.

Dark leafy greens: A.K.A - Spinach, kale, and dark lettuce are loaded with vitamins and minerals like beta-carotene, vitamin C, folate, iron, magnesium, phytochemicals, and antioxidants.

Fish: Has lots of vitamin A, B1, B12, and B6. It also has omega 3 fatty acids which are very beneficial to the skin, as well as the heart and brain.

Flax, grapeseed, walnut, seaweed, spirulina, watercress: These are very high in zinc which is vital for the health of our skin. Plus they have been known to help clear up acne, and help keep us regular.

Grape seed oil: Has trace elements of selenium, zinc, copper, and iron. It's also a unique source for oligomeric procyanidine, which is known to improve our skins elasticity.

Honey: A nutrient rich alternative to refined sugar. Refined sugar is believed to contribute to aging.

Myrtle: Is known to slow down our skin aging process. Has been used in folk remedies for centuries.

Millet: A nutritious seed, high in silica, which is good for our skin, hair, and nails.

Oats: Very high in soluble fiber, and complex carbohydrates. High in iron, manganese, phosphorous, calcium, vitamins B and E, and silicon. Silicon is crucial for healthy skin by maintaining collagen levels.

Papaya: When applied as a paste on the skin, it's enzymes help breakdown dead skin cells.

Pomegranate: Very good source of polyphenol antioxidants. These antioxidants help neutralize free radicals that can damage the skin.

Water: Hydrated skin naturally looks younger.

Sunscreen, stay protected!

The trick to applying sunscreen:

As most of us don't think about when we begin to apply sunscreen, is we have previously applied our scented body lotions, moisturizing lotions, face creams, and or specialty creams. When we begin to rub in our sunscreen to soak into our skin unfortunately were not going to get our full benefits, this is because were mixing our sunscreen right in with our body lotions, counter-acting the effects. The best way to apply our sunscreen would be to evenly distribute the sunscreen on our faces, and bodies etc. and then gently pat into the skin to where it will stay on top of our lotions and not mix in. Always re-apply sunscreen after vigorous activities where you may have sweated, after swimming, and throughout the day. Its recommended by most to re-apply every 90 minutes to get best protection from the suns rays. Its always a good idea to have a stronger SPF sunscreen when you plan to be out in the sun for long periods of time.

Health tip of the Day, from one of the Customer service Reps. *
Reduce Stress*

During this economic time, everyone is stressing about something. And as most of you know, this is really bad for your health. We want to think positive thoughts and be happy.

Easier said than done I know, stress comes in many forms. Some techniques recommended by experts are to think positive thoughts. Spend 30 minutes a day doing something you like. such as relaxing in a nice hot bubble bath, a walk on the beach or in a park; read a good book, visit a friend, play with your dog, listen to soothing music, watch a funny movie. Get a massage, a facial or a haircut. Meditate. All of these are wonderful ideas to help us feel better and can help reduce our stress.
Before you lose your temper or get aggravated try counting to ten and take deep breaths. And know that everything will be ok. If you can, avoid difficult people when possible. When you feel overwhelmed and stress think of something fun you will be doing later that day so you keep your mind off whats irritating you to make you stress.
Eat healthy, take your daily amino acids, and take care of your face and body with skin care products. When you feel and look your best it shows, you let off a great ora making the people around you feel great as well!!

Health Tips from StevenBass #1 re: Sun Protection

Spring is here and it is extremely important to protect our skin from the harmful rays of the sun. There are many forms of sun protection now available to us. Some of them work better than others. As a long time surfer I've tested many different so-called sun blocks. Many of them burn your eyes and many of them simply don't work.

Drink Plenty of Water

Warm weather is coming so drink plenty of water!
